| We popped the top of this one-story bungalow adding three bedrooms and two baths on the second level. The master bedroom faces the street with a private deck, walk-in closet and bath. We repeated the hip roof slope of the remaining 1st floor roof. Economic factors guided us to a stucco finish for the second level walls, and we integrated this new material by using it on the porch and by matching its color to that of the existing trim. | ![]() |

A new oak stairway occupies what used to be the dining room. This area was opened up to the old front porch to create an entry hall and closet. New windows above the stair landing flood this area and the second level hallway with light. |
| An addition to the rear of the home relocates the foot traffic out of the kitchen, thereby allowing for more serious cooking. New windows in the addition bathe the new breakfast bar and dining area with light. |
